We can also offer expertise and recommendations for exhibition installation, photographic conservation and art education
Framing
We make custom and made-to-order frames for almost anything; paintings, prints, drawings, photographs, cross-stitches, war medals, embroidery… You name it, we frame it.
Canvas Stretching
If you have a rolled up canvas, we can stretch it for you onto a frame. Either to hang as a finished work (without frame) or in preparation for framing. We also de-frame canvases for packaging and shipping.
Installation
Private and commercial installation of artworks can be arranged. We can also install security and earthquake fittings for valuable works.
Conservation Framing
We can asses the status of your artwork and give you advice as to what work needs to be done to conserve or restore the work. We recommend replacing the backing and matting board with the appropriate archival material for valuable or historically important artworks as they can deteriorate over time due to acid breakdown which, in turn, can start to discolour and become more brittle. UV-blocking glass is also available to reduce light damage.
Restorations
For works that require restoration, we work together with Christa Mandéry of Art Fix – Picture Restoration & Art Services.
If you get in contact with Christa she will arrange a meeting with you in-store where she can then assess your work, give you advice and arrange any work that needs to be done.
